Senior Roles available on the Institute Management Team

The Institute of Healthcare Engineering is currently recruiting for two newly-created positions available on the Management Team. A unique opportunity to join a world-class research institute in strategic roles central to overall progress and success.

  • Overview

    The Institute is recruiting for a new Operations Manager and a new Scientific Manager. Both post-holders would join the current team on the 8th Floor of Malet Place Engineering Building, in the heart of UCL’s campus. The space is shared with lecturers, research associates and doctoral students all working on the front-line of medical imaging research through the Translational Imaging Group (part of the Centre for Medical Image Computing).
    The post-holders will have direct collaborative connections with other key research groups within the Faculty of Engineering, School of Life and Medical Sciences and Satellite Hospital sites which contribute to the Flagship Programmes of the Institute.

    The Roles:

    Operations Manager

    A senior and strategic outward facing role to progress the vision for the Institute to become one of the world leaders into the clinical translation of healthcare engineering technology. This role will take a lead on delivering the proposed development of the Institute Satellites on clinical sites which will, in turn, facilitate and enable close partnerships between engineering and medicine and enhance translation.

    Scientific Manager

    This is a senior role responsible for ensuring the goals for research-funded projects are fully defined and met. The post-holder would need to collaborate with relevant academic, professional services and external colleagues to ensure overall objectives and timelines on a varied portfolio of multi-million pound projects stick to targets.
